People might point out that Hardy did just the same when he arrived, but is that actually the case? It seems he was a lot slower to resolve the debt issues. Take this article, dated 27th January, 2017:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38776868

Notts County's transfer embargo, imposed under EFL rules, has been lifted, owner Alan Hardy has confirmed.

Hardy told a club Twitter Q&A that efforts to sign players would now be made before the end of the January transfer window.

The Magpies were under embargo for failing to make required payments to HM Revenue & Customs and other clubs ...

Hardy, who completed his takeover of the club on 11 January, also identified ex-Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson was another possible new arrival.

That's 16 days, not 7 to 10 days even. These guys took 4, and 2 of those were the weekend.

    OK Gumpy.

Hands up, this time last week I predicted 'liquification' followed by putrefaction and or cremation.

    I WAS WRONG.

Public apology in the post - BUT aint it great having owners who deliver on promises. I just hope that now we can move onwards and upwards, as Soccerman would have said...

This is the kind of news that I really did not think we would be hearing on Friday morning last week, and it is great.

I can't fault the new owners they have come in and done exactly what they have said they were going to do. They have not wasted any time either, and it is finally starting to seem like the dawn after the darkest hour.

The best part about it is they are just getting stuff done in a quiet manner and that is so refreshing. That's what is good as it's easy to say what's going to happen, but actions speak louder than any words which has certainly been the case here.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm having a hard time coping with all this good news after the doom and gloom of the last few months.

All creditors now paid, does that mean we are debt free.
