    Button I mean.
He’d probably drop those as well, no way should he start v Blackburn, any error despite how small early on and he’s shot, be better off with a traffic cone.
Griffiths has to play, the crowd will all be behind him

I heard that after the Brum match, Button was so distraught in the dressing room that he put his head in his hands and dropped it!

Reminds me of the time when I served former Leeds United calamity keeper Gary Sprake at Hepworth Menswear in Solihull.

As I passed him a pair of trousers I handed them to him and let go on purpose so that they almost dropped to the floor.

To be fair to him he was a nice guy and just laughed.

You could see from the Coventry game how Burton's confidence has gone. Even if he doesn't read social media or Albion sites, I'm sure he is all too aware of his own mistakes. Credit to Carlos and the team the previous time out as they did their best to protect and support him but it clearly isn't sustainable and they all know that his confidence is shot and that he is a liability. Button may be a really nice guy but that's irrelevant and Griffiths needs his chance now. We do not have the time or points to persist with Button in the hope that either his game or confidence will improve.

Reading Carlos's comments this morning....Button will be dropped and Griffiths will be brought in. Either that or we start next game against Blackburn with ten across the back and another ten in midfield.

I have seen some poor goalkeepers in the sticks for us, namely Sheppard, Cumbes, Smith, Crichton etc, but they all played a blinder at least once, well, maybe not Crichton, but I have never seen a keeper as bad as Button. Zubi was like Yashin by comparison.
To be a keeper you need positioning, anticipation, domination of your area, to be a good shot stopper and be able to marshal a defence. Button does none of these things. I wonder who told him he would have a career in goalkeeping.
A bad keeper affects the display of the whole team because they haven't the confidence to push forward and leave the door open.
When the team hugged him like he had saved the last penalty in a shoot out in a cup final, when in fact he managed to catch the ball from a corner. That should tell you all you need to know about the confidence he gives.
Isn't his record like one goal from every two shots at him? Disgraceful.
I hope I never see him anywhere near the ground again, let alone the first team. Finish his contract like Zohore, save a bit of money.

John Osbourne’s corpse would offer us more protection than this bloke!
