I think we've been linked with Matt Crooks before.
Rangers took him and Josh Windass from Accie about 2 years ago.
Didn't work out at Rangers so the Cobblers took him on

TBH Mike, until we signed them I don't think I had heard of any of our players.

Anyone think Palmer has ever been strong enough for this division? Much like Purrington.

He joined us in league 1 as a player with plenty of Championship experience with Burton and on his debut he looked head and shoulders above the rest of midfield. Crisp, quick passing, good movement on and off the ball, he looked just the tonic.
However, since that game it has been a slow, gradual regression and what we have now is a mediocre League 1 player.
He never looks happy, never smiles, just doesn't look like he enjoys being here.
