Think Monty's made of sterner stuff. Saw Led Zep, Genesis, Hawkwind and Pink Floyd in the 70's. Discovered punk too, great stuff.

Milla, are you sure you don't mean that you were semi conscious?

I only ask because all of your posts over the years suggest some kind of mental disability.

Sickly, using 1973 as a cut-off point I too had already seen Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Hawkwind.

I'd also seen the likes of The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Rory Gallagher, Alvin Lee, BB King, Miles Davis, Zappa and the Mothers, Loudon Wainwright (Rufus came later) Soft Machine, Sly and the Family Stone, The Groundhogs, Free, Chicago, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Joan Baez, Jethro Tull and many more.

The only real disappointment was going to France especially to see Captain Beefheart and the Rolling Stones circa 1972 only to have the gig rained off, BEYOND the 11th hour! My consolation? Seeing and hearing Jimi Hendrix shortly before he died. And David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

After 1973? Things were much better and no ghastly Glam Rock to soil the memory bank.

    Ouch! Sickly?

Some kind of major OCD or gross stupidity repeated over and over for years on end. Does that describe Millavanilla more accurately?

I caught Pink Floyd in concert at the Olympic Staduim in Munich in 1994 , a mate I was visiting was a fan and he did the rest .

Wow , what can you say , brilliant musicians and I was blown away despite not actually thinking they would be my pot of char .

Oil crisis, inflation and recession started under the Heath government dominated economics of the 70s. And some blame the Labour government of 74 for the mess.
