Personally think you'll walk this league, but I thought that last season, hope we can hold on to your shirt tails.
I know it's early days yet, but from what I saw of you guys against Forest last week - well, you will need to improve quite a bit to realistically be top - suppose your new boys will make the difference though, and a "Lucky" start never hurts eh?
Good luck anyway, form me you need to hang on to our shirt tails....fingers crossed!
Any away win is decent especially against a good Forest side who hardly had one chance in the 2nd half. In my opinion West Brom and Leeds were better than the three who went up - lack of consistency was the issue for both of us plus Darren Moore was clueless.
We have better players this season and like Bielsa a very clued up manager and a great midfield. You were interested in Romaine Sawyers but he came to us - he’s class!
You will be right up there and so will we. Consistency and staying power though will be the factor so who knows! Good luck though but thought you would have brought in a few more players .....
At least I HAVE my own point if view, as opposed to those who feel the need to agree with each other and indulge in the mutual backslapping that typifies certain posts. And for the record I haven't "slagged off everything we have done since last April", as an example see my comment about not "splashing the cash" as many would have had us do, or the positive comments after the match against Bristol, but don't let me stop you with your continued desire to take me to task (directly or via other posts).
I'm just a bit more discerning than some as to what I consider to be in the best interests of Leeds United (as opposed to the financial interests of our current owner and his hangers-on).
Flogging a dead horse there M - if they had any intention of " trousering the cash " then surely they would have accepted the £35 million that they were offered for Phillips, Ayling, Pablo & Forshaw wouldn't they ???

Your bit of advice on how Leeds should borrow money to buy players... your views might as well be stuck on top of a weather vane they change that often.
"Dear Mr Bank Manager,
We have negotiated the sale of some of our assets, and will be paid £20m over a maximum of three years. That revenue may increase, if the assets sold meet performance targets, and/or are subsequently sold on at a profit, but the £20m figure is guaranteed.
We would like to borrow £18m in order to invest in new assets which we expect will increase our companys performance, to the extent that we may well be able to move into a superior position in relation to our competitors, compared to where we are at present. So please please please can we have that £18m?
Yours sincerely,
Andrea Radrizzani, owner, Leeds United Football Club"
If that counts as advice to LUFC and they take it, I'll send them a bill."
Talk about flogging a dead horse!!!! You really can't discern the difference between judicious investment and "splashing the cash"?
Ok, here goes........
"Splashing the cash" is what our much-revered DoF did in his early days in post, scooping up a whole load of bottom-of-the-barrel nonentities amongst which was the occasional good player. Value for money (in terms of initial layout and player wages vs contribution to the clubs performance (financial or playing)) next to f00k all.
"Judicious investment" to acquire assets e.g.....The buying back of ER (Something I was banging on about (like others) when we had GFH and the Crazy One as owners), which reduces opex and provides an appreciating asset to the club. The acquisition of Pontus Jansson, Pablo Hernandez and a couple of others (name them by all means) who may not have generated a profit when sold (the former) or increased their market value if retained (the latter), but who have contributed substantially to the playing performances and the commercial success of merchandise (I suspect the number of shirts with de Bock or Anita on them is vanishingly small).
Loans are all well and good (as long as the loanee performs), but when we are paying to act as another clubs shop-window (and paying a princely sum if reports are to be believed), it smacks a bit of paying rent on a place rather than owning it, if the asset is appreciating in value (which a good performance from a loanee would indicate) then I'd prefer to see Leeds as the beneficiary, not Spurs or Arsenal.
So no, my advice remains the same, sound investment where required, and I suspect most here would say that we would probably have benefitted from some such. However, all in all I'd prefer to be where we are than splurge on some "marquee" signing just for the sake of doing so.
