Six month loan deal, has Theresa May joined the board, she's good at kicking the can down the road, which is all this does.

If we are in the top half in Jan and he has made a contribution it will have been worth it. We sign a decent CM playmaker who cost Chelsea £30m last year and won the Premiership with Leicester and 'Fans' on here are still moaning.

In this window we have signed a proven striker, Proven Midfield player and International defender. Managed to keep hold of two good CB's. Be happy...

    Agree with that .

Keepers - Pope , Hart , Peacock Farrell
Right Back - Lowton , Bardsley
Left Back - Taylor , Pieters
Centre Halfs - Tarkowski , Mee , Gibson , Long
Right Wing - Gudmundsson , Lennon
Left Wing - McNeil , Brady
    Centre Mid - Westwood , Cork , Drinkwater , Hendricks , Defour(Hopefully)
    Forwards - Wood , Barnes , Rodriguez , Vydra

Could always be better but happy with that and see where we are in January.
Hopefully a Youngster or two emerge from the U23s squad also.

Lester won the PL in 2016 - he went to Cheesea in 2017, Not 2018 - Matlo.....played half a dozen games in the first season and pretty much jack all in his second - and am really sorry (not) that your not "Happy" with the imparting of facts...and/or personal opinions of others.

be as happy or unhappy as you like folks - thats your business.

thats not a bad squad, decent cover for every position. im genuinely excited for this season. surely mid table at least. heres hoping drinkwater gets a game early on and shows some class. we dont need him bench warming at £50 000 a week. alongside westwood whos looking good and mcneil( even lennons looked decent in pre-season) with woody scoring for fun we might have some goals in us. holding on to tarkowski and gibson looking like he might become the player we broke the record to buy its all good. (why does no one ever look at ben mee hes an epic defender safe as houses one of the best weve had EVER) and why did we not have a sniff for austin has he become that ****? i thought he'd of at least got a mention.

For me this is a very good signing, it's really what we have been crying out for a while, a quality midfielder who is well established in this league. I do however, take bfcjon's point. It is a short term fix that could create further issues down the line if turns out he goes back after six months. I think we can agree its a better effort than the signing of Peter Crouch.
