I'm glad you've said that Jules kid lol.
I don't look at Sheff Wensdy as our/my big rivals. I always look at Leeds as the team I want us to beat, as I come from near Wakey/Cass. 😊

Duff got his tactics absolutely spot on but the most important thing was the players carried the game plan out magnificently .

Nullified the two Wendy wing backs all game forcing them inside where our central midfield three pressed them to death , we then are picking the ball up in their half of the pitch .

Wednesday were then forced to punt hopeful balls up to Gregory and Windass who got no joy out of Andersen and co .

Three or four nil would have been about right in my opinion .

Best all round performance since the 2-0 win at Brentford which was the start of the 8 successive wins under Val and propelled us to the championship play offs in my opinion .

Extremely happy tonight , my gaffer is a ST holder at S6 .

    😀😀😀😀

And that was clearly evident during the game.

    Now to the game itself.
Wendy pay huge wages - as a result they have always had individuals capable of a bit of magic that ends up beating Barnsley.
The Reach cross into the middle for the Rhodes headed goal last season was an example of that.

On that performance…….. Wednesday only have physical strength …… and the skills of Barry Bannon.
And nothing else - and it shows.

Surprisingly Barnsley matched their physical strength - and Barnsley players only let Bannon out of their vice on a couple of occasions.

Excellent performance from an exceedingly well drilled Barnsley team.

    Our defence was immense.
Special mention to Luca and Thomas.

On a bit of a negative note - which I’m reluctant to add at a joyous time - there was no apathy amongst the players - every player put a proper shift in - could I suggest that the absence of the sluggish Styles was a factor in that.
thacudd ev a point theer Nudge abart Style's ( altho I've allus liked him) it maybe him Oduor and a few more who have left we're bad egg's in the dressing room , it didn't go unnoticed to me today there was more togetherness fight and commitment from our Team , maybe it was the hype of a local derby or some moving on i don't know, let's hope today wasn't a one of performance ? , I'm pleased tonight with the 3 pts, we should have however improved our goals for column against a poor big city club, am I being greedy ? Yes , as I said before on today's performance they are a nowt side , no matter what their commentators said today ,

Crossed my mind too Roma that all the players who wanted to leave have now gone and possibly taken the negative energy with them and out of the door .

Summed up when young Wolfe had to grab the Wendy lads shirt to prevent them breaking on us , Wendy players piling in with Stockdale running 40 yards to throw his handbag too .

Our lads were soon in to them and backing young Wolfe up .

Defiantly looked more galvanised and together today and probably for the first time since Val left .
