Without the debt the club is a reasonably attractive proposition as a business and he could of sold it for something with no debt but to clear debt and give away for free. . .

if be amazed if he's paid all the debt, if expect he's secured the last portion of the debt against the next upcoming parachute payment.
surely if the debt has cost him upwards of £130m, he would have been better off spending £10m or so last summer and not going down?

June just pointed out that for him to be able to front this consortium he'll need to sell his Eastleigh share (as he's said) but he needs somebody to buy that before the Sunderland sale can go through because can't own stakes in 2 football clubs.
