    Totally agree with the rest of your post, - and I must add that the referee made a huge mistake by awarding that penalty at 3-1. There was no intention whatsoever by Stirling, and as he indicated the ball was blasted at him (and as we all know) ricocheted off his abdomen.

    The only appropriate award would have been an indirect free kick.......if anything.
    Quinn-McGinn at least they rhyme if nothing else. You are spot on and I noticed this afterwards and wondered who would spot this deliberate error as Cpt Mainwaring would say
