Modric's goal wins it for Croatia, his side have had quite a few chances in the game to win by more.

I will rarely show any support for a Club or Country other than my own but today is an exception!

I hope Northern Ireland can get something from the game, it will be a tough ask but they're at the finals on merit. I never got to see Dougan play, different era for me.

I also dont mind N.Ireland, because of one of our former favourites Gerry Taggart.

A big chance for Poland and squandered by Milik. Northern Ireland holding their own so far in the game.

Poland not looking the dark horses that many are claiming them to be. But I think they'll come out smarter in the second half and stop settling. But credit to Northern Ireland for not conceding.

Poland's Milik had so much time to control the pass and then pick his spot to place the ball into the net, 1-0.

On for Poland is former Wolf Slawomir Peszko. Only played 10 or so matches for in the season we were relegated to League One. Didn't think he was terrible, but it's hard to really evaluate anyone from that season. He now plays for a team in Poland.

No shame for Northern Ireland only losing 1-0, no real threat in front of goal, Lafferty living off scraps.

It's a pity he wasn't given more of a chance, one excuse used at the time was he wasn't tall enough. I thought he had something about him.
