What we need before we start discussing players is a club. We will still be wound up if Hardy fails again to close the sale. All we know is that the solicitor representing Notts said the prospective buyers had passed a fit an proper persons test with the FA. In fact, all we really know is that an ITV reporter said that had been said. Presumably the judge had been shown/told of so called evidence that a deal was imminent on previous occasions. But what if some new snag crops up and the Danes lower their offer? There is still a risk.

But ... if they do come (and I really hope they do) then surely they will be applying more rigorous tests of potential new signings than 'this midfield will be too good for the NL' type comments. They will anayse what actually works at this level. I'm guessing that would rule out Nathan Tyson.

No, just my opinion. There was a lack of cover in front of him.

It looks from the limited info from Leigh Curtis and others that the court was given more tangible evidence than previously. Looks like this new deal is some way down the line. Hope for everyone that it goes through quickly. IF Hardy is genuine about paying salaries this week, you would imagine the cash would be coming from the new owners. That only happens if they are close to finalising a deal.

This^^^ None of this means ANYTHING till the taxman is paid and the Danes have signed on the dotted line. Apparently a draft agreement/contract was shown to the court as well but as Hardy is involved, then I refuse to believe a word until it is done. Member, we've been here before.............. #HardyOut

“While I hoped and expected a takeover to have been completed before today’s hearing, I am pleased to say I will be exchanging contracts with the new owners of the club in the coming days.“I would like to thank all our supporters for their continued patience. I will provide a further update in due course.”

Why can’t we talk about players AND talk about the financial future of the club? At least with the players we can talk about tangible stuff we’ve seen with our own eyes.

Most of the finance talk is tedious speculation based on nothing.

Of course they can talk, but surely it's relevant to the conversation that the people supposedly taking us over are specialists in football analysis and will have their own ideas about which players to sign?
