Ric Lee was the drummer in TYA, Alvin Lee was lead guitar.

I heven't seen anyone mention Carl Palmer, Bill Bruford or John Densmore yet.

Locally, I loved C Cat Trance with Nigel Kingston Stone https://youtu.be/r8MRoref7BE

Philamore Lincoln (Robert Anson) played with the Who, Brian Auger and the Trinity and others https://youtu.be/5VqjyMVgyqg

Blondie are one of my two favourite bands and their drummer, Clem Burke is pretty damn awesome.

I'd never heard of Ric Lee, my apologies. I knew Alvin was a guitarist but thought Bridg4dPie included (Ric/Alvin) as he was a Nottingham lad.

Ric lived on Arkwright Street when he joined T.Y.A. Alvin lived in Woollatonon a side road just B4 the Wheelhouse pub.

Sadly the world recently lost the greatest drummer when Neil Peart of Rush died. RIP ‘the professor’.

Some other favourites of mine worthy of a mention:

    Ian Paice
    Buddy Rich
    Tommy Aldridge
    Reni (from The Stone Roses)
Dave Grohl (better known as a front man these days but an incredible drummer)
    Tommy Lee

Oh, and I probably shouldn’t pass up an opportunity to plug my stepson Youngr who is a very talented producer, writer, multi instrumentalist and a pretty hot drummer too! Check him out.

    Love a good drummer, me!
