Does anyone see any link to BFC being a part of a global coronavirus conspiracy?

After all the Directors must be classified as "elite" and they would have their ear to the ground.

Any chance of them making a quick quid selling the ground for redevelopment?

Obviously they are immune from the currency and share collapse world wide and have loads of hidden cash to continue without any income?

    Love to hear back.

The idea that the entire population would have carried on just as before as this virus ran amok is just laughable, some no doubt would, but the vast majority would have taken their own common sense measures, government instructions or not, 250,000 dead is scaremongering, pure and simple.
I have no doubt whatever that if the measures hadn't been brought in then the pubs would still be as full as ever at the weekend, people would be going to footy matches, cinemas, restaurants and flocking to town centres, beaches, parks etc .
The two figures mentioned above are the best estimates of the best experts we have on this subject. If we don't listen to them then we are whistling in the wind.
Sinkov, if I needed information about fire safety then you (or JP) would be my go-to experts. It was your field of expertise. You are the "experts".
Whether I take your advice (I would) is up to me. You might say, "If you have a chip pan fire then don't chuck water on it".
I might say (I wouldn't) "Rubbish. if you throw water on a fire then it goes out.
I could give you advice on computers/electronics if you needed it. BT could advise us on specialised gardening matters etc.

The Imperial College team and the Chief Medical Advisor are the best we have on this subject and I think it wise that we heed their advice. They have reached the top of their profession because they know their stuff. They are more likely to be right than a columnist in the Conservative Woman or Spectator.

But they are dealing largely in theory. This is a new virus and there isn't time to gather definitive evidence. We need to act now.
They are our best hope and if you or I were PM then we would be foolish to ignore what they are telling us.

If the death rate goes really high then they will take stick for getting it wrong.
If we DO keep the death rate to 20,000 or below then they will take stick for over reacting. "It wasn't that bad, but you shut the country down for months for no reason"

    Who would be an "expert"?

What is there to do? My wife received a letter from her GP dated March 21 indicating she has been classified as vulnerable and should immediately begin 12 weeks isolation. Effectively this obliged me to join her in that isolation. I am willing to and have followed that advice. I am not in a position to ignore that advice and have no wish to do so. Many posters have pointed out that we do not however forgo our right to question what we are being told the general population should do. History tells us unquestioning acceptance of Government edicts is the road to disaster. There are multiple examples of whole nations being misled and misruled. We need to be aware not just only of the health and economic effects of what is happening but the damage to the whole social fabric. This will undoubtedly become much clearer over the coming weeks and months. I am not a conspiracy theorist but a student of history. What is the normality that will be offered back to us now that this one has been taken away?

That's it, finished painting the living room, freedom at last, I'm off outside now to celebrate by washing the car. FFS, what's happening to me, what have I become ?

Same as all of us Mon Ami.

I Karchered the car over the weekend - it doesn't need the soap and water treatment.

Pity I can't drive the bloody thing at the moment...

It gets worse 59, after I'd washed it, I then polished it. What sort of a man am I turning into ? FFS get the horse racing back up and running soon please.

It does like quite smart though, all shiny and sparkling on the drive, all dressed up and nowhere to go, I just hope the battery's not flat.

I have never waxed a car AND I NEVER WILL.

If I post on here that I have waxed my car then you have my permission to come round and strangle me.

This polish is quite expensive 59, and claims the bodywork will need much less care and attention should I use it. I used it in the, possibly vain, hope that it does what it says on the tin.

Thing is, you never see rust buckets these days with all that galvanised stuff and hi tech paint.

Back in the day I was always sanding off the rust and filling holes and then trying in vain to cover up the repair with those aerosol spray paint cans.

I believe that waxing a car is for retired blokes who need an excuse to get away from their Missus for an hour or two. Especially now the pubs are shut.

    I have a shed.

Waxing good - Sinkov.....protects the paintwork and leaves a lovely smooth/shiny finish, stops grime collection/grip - making washes a lot less work - can also get easy to use spray on stuff nowadays - just spray and wipe, couldn't be easier....but, yes the stuff isn't used as much nowadays - less people handwash, throwaway society - vehicles with buiilt in obsolesence (crap)...etc etc. But if you see an older motor looking minty - it's only because its been looked after, paint'n'all.
