Give the man a chance, with an able assistant at his side, support him to the hilt and we will see what he can do.
A couple of Queens youth coaches will be helping Wullie tomorrow apparently.

I would say that Willie Gibson may turn out to be a very good appointment. Who would you rather have, Willie Gibson or Gus Mcpherson? I'd say it's worth the gamble for Queens.

I'll be there tomorrow come rain, hail or snow, - and my old man who will be 90 this year is coming too.

We'll be backing Willie, and hoping that he can do something that Johnson has been unable to do all season, play people in the right position.

There have been some good performances this season, - but there have been some really dire ones too, hopefully Willie will instil the pride and passion that a home boy brings.

Please remember, though, this is a huge challenge for Willie, - so if things don't go as planned then don't get on his back.

One word of warning for Willie: Demonstrate all the passion you want son, but please 'keep the heid' and don't tell the referee what you think! We simply can't afford for you to be sent off!

It was indeed Grant Murray. He'd been assistant at Edinburgh City to Gary Naysmith and was then assistant to Laurie Ellis at Queen's Park until last month. He was also manager at Raith Rovers 2012 til 2015.

I had to do a double take when the camera moved past him. I thought Wullie had managed to bring John Collins into the fold!
