It amuses me on here, almost as deluded as the S6 mob, eg Animal who is nostalgic for the 1950s when Barnsley regularly averaged 25,000, crowds and Young Nudger who bragged about ringing Radio Sheffield to say that Barnsley could buy out the Sheffield clubs ten times over. The émasculation of the English language is one for the anthropologists. It's brilliant.

Poor crowds ? As a second tier club we're already getting higher attendances than five or six Prem clubs.

Tha needs to factor in that Sheffield is the fourth biggest city region in England in terms of population (Source-University of Sheffield Prospectus). The crowds in proportion are pitiful in percentage terms, even taking into account there are two clubs, the "massive" one in S6 and yourselves.

Correct, taking into account the potential fan base.

Sheffield is fourth behind London, Birmingham and Manchester in terms of comparable population. Look at the crowds in those city regions. Comparing Barnsley (13,000 home fans yesterday out of a small population size) wi your lot and you can see your problem.

I appreciate, coming from Sheffield, maths and most other subjects may be difficult areas for you but have a think about it.
