You can't compare the Kilmarnock pitch with the Hamilton Pitch.
Both are artificial yes, but they are of different composition and installed at different times as well.
A quick google pulled up Scott Brown lambasting the Hamilton pitch as opposed to the Kilmarnock one.

Different players react / play / can't play on differing, such as Steven McLean who does not play there.‘Hamilton is one of the worst. I don’t mind the Kilmarnock pitch. When it’s wet, you can move the ball and pass it quite well.
We were susceptable to players running at us.
Not sure Kari and McKenna enjoyed playing on the pitch and having to turn so quickly.
So its maybe not the best for our set of players on that pitch
