    Derby County has confirmed its retained list following the conclusion of the 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season in April.



    Captain and midfielder Conor Hourihane is to depart after leading the side to promotion back to the Championship.

    Striker Dwight Gayle, goalkeeper Scott Loach, midfielder Korey Smith, striker Martyn Waghorn and goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith are also moving on, leaving with the club’s very best wishes for the future.

    Forward Tom Barkhuizen and long-serving defender Craig Forsyth have activated performance-based clauses in their contracts to extend their stays with the club by an additional year.

    Midfielder Liam Thompson has had an option in his contract taken up for a further 12 months, while young midfielder Darren Robinson has signed a new two-year contract until 2026.

    Striker James Collins and Academy graduate Louie Sibley are in discussion with the club over their futures.

    We can now confirm our released and retained list following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.

    Nine players will leave the club upon the expiry of their contract this Summer; Lewis Thomas, Jonathan Mitchell, Joe Mattock, Will Smith, Pete Jameson, George Horbury, Finn O’Boyle, Brad Williams and Emmanuel Ilesanmi.

    As previously confirmed, Jeremy Sivi, Tom Bloxham and Derrick Abu have returned to their parent clubs after their loan deals came to an end.

    Manager Simon Weaver said: “At this stage of the season, there are always difficult conversations to be had with players who we are saying goodbye to.

    “They are all really good lads, they have a fantastic attitude and are really good people to work with both on and off the pitch.

    “We want to help them moving forward, we have made that clear to them. If there is anything that we can do to help them in the future career then we will do our upmost to help them.”

    We would like to thank all of the above players for their contributions during their time at the club.

    18 players remain under contract for the upcoming 2024/25 season; Mark Oxley, Josh Falkingham, Warren Burrell, George Thomson, Dean Cornelius, Abraham Odoh, Matty Daly, James Daly, Sam Folarin, Toby Sims, Anthony O’Connor, Rod McDonald, Jack Muldoon, Matty Foulds, Josh March, Liam Gibson, James Belshaw and James Moorby.

    SIX players have been offered new deals by Burton Albion ahead of the 2024/25 Sky Bet League One season.

    Burton Albion are hoping to retain the services of captain John Brayford, Sam Hughes, Joe Powell and Mark Helm, who have all been offered new contracts and are under negotiations to re-enage with the club.

    Academy Graduates Jakub Niemczyk and Tom Hewlett have also been offered short-term extensions at the club.

    A further twelve players remain under contract for the up-and-coming season. They are: Max Crocombe, Ryan Sweeney, Rekeem Harper, Mason Bennett, Jasper Moon, Kegs Chauke, Finn Delap, Will Tamen and Tom Hamer.

    Cole Stockton, Josh Gordon, Josh Walker will also return to the Pirelli Stadium following loan spells and remain under contract.

    Albion have also taken up the contract extension option on midfielder Ciaran Gilligan.

    Seven players have been released from Burton Albion. They are Jamal Blackman, Deji Oshilaja, Bobby Kamwa, Mustapha Carayol, Jake Caprice, Toto Nsiala and Charlie Lakin.

    Six players who have been on loan with the Brewers will be returning to their parent clubs. They are Steve Seddon, Kyle Hudlin, Ademola Ola-Adebomi, Tolaji Bola, Antwoine Hackford and Joe Hugill.

    Millwall Football Club has confirmed its retained list for the 2023/24 season, with Shaun Hutchinson and Bartosz Bialkowski departing The Den at the end of next month.
    Centre-back and club captain Hutchinson leaves SE16 having made 257 appearances for The Lions, scoring 14 times. One of the defender's most notable goals came on the final day of the 2016/17 season, as his late winner at Bristol Rovers secured a Play-Off place in Sky Bet League One; Millwall then going on to win promotion via defeating Bradford City in the Final. Hutchinson's final goal for The Lions was also ***** as he netted a stoppage-time winner at Bristol City on New Year's Day 2024.

    Bialkowski, meanwhile, leaves with 169 appearances to his name alongside back-to-back Player of the Season crowns, a Sky Bet Championship Golden Glove and a string of fine saves and memories shared between him and the fanbase.

    The club would like to extend its gratitude to both for the outstanding service they have given to Millwall and wish them well in their future careers.

    Japhet Tanganga, Allan Campbell, Michael Obafemi, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Ryan Longman all return to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their loan spells.
