This is the reason we need a backer,...To say stop , They are not for sale !! and prevent these players sitting idle in their reserve team,..Because a lot of wealthy backed teams,..just pay for players like ours, to stick in their youth team/academy , and never be seen again,..Because they can,.....If the top six for example ,put in 10 millon each,in a pot to poach and not play the players signed ,..They will always be the top six, Conspiracy theory not sure,...But you never know.
I love the Clarets till the day I Die,..But We do need Investment..

Problem is, even with investment, those 6 clubs have a pull for players with ambition, and whilst we have more pull with Europa it's nowhere near those clubs.
Heaton aint going to want to sit in our reserves either, best to let him go, he is an upgrade on most prem clubs keepers, including Liverpool, so he is offski for sure unless big dollar comes in for Pope.

Maybe it will be Pope who will be sitting in the reserves next season?

Knowing us and how we roll, £60 million for Heaton and Tarkowski and they are gone.

Another £20 million for Mee and then we need to really get buying!

With only Kevin Long left to steady the ship is already giving me palpitations.

I don't think there's any amount of money will keep a player at Burnley if a top 6 club really want to sign him. All we can do is ensure we get the going rate for Tarko, Arsenal paid £35m for Mustafi two years ago, City paid £48m for Stones two years ago, Liverpool have just paid £75m for Van Dijk. I think we could start talking at between £50 and £60 million, I wouldn't answer the phone for any less.

Europa League with the Clarets or double your wages and play in the Champions League?

Obviously the lads will prefer to stay at Burnley.
