How has VAR not overturned this??…

It was a definite pen. Camera angle after the match shows the boy got the ball before Birighitti.

same as 2015 where teams picked up points and we failed

    Not ideal

agreed, on tv i didnt think keeper got any touch on it. that angle looks like he does but there is a better one which shows the player is the one who touches it past him

Killie only picking up points cos of that plastic f*cking pitch. One draw with only one goal scored away from home all season. Shambles of a ruling.

Are you for real? Surely that is the best angle for what actually happened, any other angle could “suggest” otherwise, similar to the Watt sending off, that ultimately cost us three points!

    Edited to add:
Someone shared a clip the other week, from the GF stand, that looked like it was a def red car for Watt (was share on Pie & Bovril), but other clips from different angles (and Utd’s own videos) showed otherwise, and what led to Watt’s red card being rescinded, this is similar, so surely the video from the best angle (i.e. behind the goal as in that clip) shows the real scenario?
Sadly, VAR has been added on the cheap up here, and it’s clear as day, they DO NOT have enough cameras, to clearly make the correct decision!!

Absolutely. They showed it after the match. Camera directly behind the player in line with the direction the ball travelled. 100% pen.

Even on that Twitter video, pause it at point of contact. The boys foot is between the ball and Birighittis hand.

that angle shows birighittis hand, the ball but doesnt show you the aberdeen players foot when they all come together. There is an angle which shows it and its actually the aberdeen player who touches it, not birighiti

As I’ve just said about Watt’s red card, certain angles can skew the actual events. Nothing to say this is not the same. Regardless, both ref and VAR ref love Utd (NOT) so no surprise they got a pen!
