For an healthier approach use red potatoes. Peel and cut in chips or if you prefer, pre wash leave skins on and cut into chips.

Set your oven accordingly. Par boil in hot water for 5 minutes then drain. Transfer to baking tray and Lightly spray with Low fat oil ( fry light etc) and place in oven for 10 minutes. Take out of oven and turn the chips and lightly spray again and cook for a further 10 minutes. Much more healthier.
Or you could do sweet potato wedges instead, delicious and healthier.

Sweet potatoes have more taste than potatoes though which are bland in comparison.

Made some horseradish sauce for the beef today. Hard to get in most places.
Grated with sour cream.. salt .
    Lovely.
10 of us for dinner. No one's ever had it.
1 tried it and he's cleared his sinuses.
    Anyone else eat it?

Is Dale Road chippy still there. Used to be the best.

Think it might be the Marina now, different premises but same ownership I think. Not 100% sure though as I'm not originally from these parts.

Correct. The owner bought The Crown and turned it into a Fish & Chip Restaurant and Take-Away. He sold the Dale Road premises. It’s now a Pizza Place.

Sainsbury’s do it, pricey though at £8 to £9 per kilo

If you get some take care when grating it, get it on your hands then rub your eye and you will certainly know about it.
