    Women’s World Cup

I cannot believe that the women are complaining about the fact that there is a huge difference between the prize money for the men winning the World Cup and that for the women.

Solo Hope, USA World Cup winner, says the disparity shows that ‘male chauvinism is entrenched in Fifa’. What a load of tosh. The amount of money they are getting is huge compared to many other sports. They are getting a massive coverage on tv and in my opinion the standard is at best pretty poor.

Am I just being a male chauvinist or do others think they are being hard done by?

When they can generate the finances and the interest that the male game can, then fair enough, but not until.
To be honest I have little or no interest myself.

If you want to start bringing equality into football...you should certainly start with reducing the amount male players get for the weekly dross they produce...It has to be one of the most over rated up their own asses industry ever.....
It is totally obscene and can not be justified. Most sports are nowadays.........

Sorry BBC despite what you are regularly telling me I just do not have the slightest interest in the Women's World Cup. This is no reflection on me as a person. It is just a fact.

Why don’t the women’s national team play the men’s national team and see how equal they are, that should sort it!

Or you could have the men and women teams playing in a World Cup.

Draw men and women together and then we will see how long before a women’s national side wins the World Cup.

It could be a very long wait.

Id be very worried though just in case the England birds did beat the England blokes, we'd never hear the last of it.
