That sounds like a cryptic clue itself mike miller!
Occasionally completed it correctly (usually over several days) and sent in entry a few times , but never won a prize. Not attempted it recently though. Mainly used to fill it in on train journey to/from work.

A bar of soap (6,6)
Scrabble or monopoly man Roly.
And I’m a bad loser.
I am pal.
I bought Park lane and my boy bought Mayfair so I wouldn’t carry on playing.😁
Yes I’m a perfect role model. 😂
i like the Really Nasty board games particularly at Xmas Pocket. The nasty horse race game can get very bitter after a few drinks. Also like games like Risk which can get very tense and nervy.
Never got into Monopoly because I could never work out when you had won. After a while it was just going round and round in circles.Did like the little counters though in it.
There are one or two good footy board games like Wembley though. When I bought the game some years back I was pleased to find the millers as one of the teams because they only play with about 32 teams I think. I've never won the cup with the millers though but did get em through to the semis once.

I had more than my fair share of tipping boards as a lad!I have felt like doing it in adulthood at times but so far resisted the urge!
I recently bought the Ticket to Ride game and my lad regularly thrashes me at that.I feel like chucking the bugger (the game) out of the window at times.
Still trying to sus your clue MMM!
By the way I have cheated a bit on the crossword using this programme when I'm really stuck and got a few letters in

Theres also an anagram solver as well which is quite useful but Ian Hislop will never know if i have used these kinds of things if he has to pay out my tenner!
