Is Boltons failure to fulfill the fixture going to go unpunished ?

Appreciate they were deducted 12 points for going into admin but it looks like EFL have bottled it, again, re the Brentford fixture

They’ll probably get a - point deduction on top of the twelve, no point fining them is there

What leads you to believe there will be no further action?
Has something been released or are you assuming that nothing further will happen because of the delay?

Based on the delay it's an assumption

Took them around 5 milliseconds to deduct us the 3 points following the Farad Rawson c*ck up

    Bramley, spot on!

It’s ok saying leave them alone etc. We were in the news all the time when we went belly up so, why shouldn’t the Bolton debacle still be raised
for something that hasn’t been finalised/dealt with?

So in that respect the deduction should have happened as soon as the offence occurred and the EFL should really deduct the points from their end of sesaon total and whether it's 3 or 300 won't really matter.

Not as soon as due to the fact they were already down therefore no impact on the season

As per the Grand Old Duke of York we were neither up nor down so were punished immediatley

My memory is not what it was but I do seem to remember at the time we pushed the EFL to make their decision quickly so we would know where we stood and as it was cut and dried (e.g. we forgot to register him in time) they were able to do that. Would have been worse for them to dither, us to end up the season safe by 2pts and then have 3 deducted at the end.

The Bolton case seems pretty cut and dried, fail to fulfill a fixture = immediate X pts deduction. Not always so simple though if not playing a game has an impact on the other team's chances of promotion or relegation. This time around with Brentford it didn't but that might not always be the case.

Just googled it and you're right
Game was on 6th April, points were deducted 24th April leaving us one point above the drop zone
The 1-1 draw with Norwich and 2-1 victory against Reading were enough to preserve Championship status

Cue Evans and Sombrero at Bellend Road
