Lets say it works, that leaves us with a fantastic sports bar generating income but a ****e football team on the park that see us stay down yet another season.

Do you genuinely believe a soulless sports bar is going to generate enough income across a year to not only cover the massive losses we currently make, but also strengthen the playing budget? If it was that easy every club would have one.

As for the medical stuff - I expect every team in the land to be looking to improve and adequately resource their medical team and facilities. I don't expect the Chairman to be talking about it in interviews. It's a transparent attempt at currying favour with a support who he (or someone at the club) has seen talking about this very issue in the week leading up to this video.

We are a football club. I want my chairman to talk passionately about the players, the management team, the youth team etc, not a ****ing sports bar and physio. No point having the best sports bar in the championship for me but maybe I'm mental in thinking football comes first.

See if we get promoted and stabilise in the top flight, with all the revenue that brings, maybe start breaking even as a club or turning a slight profit, buy back our existing, previously profitable assets like Gussie and the clubs spiritual home in Tannadice from the security holders, then is the time for long term vanity projexct style initiatives - not when we are ****ing rooted in the diddy league bleeding cash everywhere to the tune of millions in loss a season. Do you genuinely think a sports bar will cover those losses?

What a ****ing clueless and pointless statement - any chance you could clarify what your point is and what you are getting at?

From my perspective I couldn't give a **** about his accent, but I want him to be talking players & managers, not avoiding the real issues and talking about frippery ****e off the park that will do absolutely **** all to get us promoted this season.

I am genuinely stunned that so many are lapping up this nonsense - it's clearly an attempt to divert from the cluster we have on the park and in the dugout. There again if I'm expecting people with that level of intelligence to actually think about this then maybe I'm the idiot.
Is it beyond the realms of possibility that licenced premises open on match days only could turn a profit?

You seem to be dismissing a lot of the changes as stuff we should have anyway. Does the chairman not deserve some credit for identifying areas of improvement and then taking action? It's a far cry from ST cutting every corner possible.

You seem to be incapable of taking anything positive out of anything MM says or does.

Some of the negativity from some posters is draining. It's sucking away at the positivity that others are trying to enjoy from the departure of ST.

    The chairman is sh1t
    The players are sh1t
    The manager is sh1t
The new hospitality area is sh1t
    The medical team are sh1t
The new sports bar will be sh1t before its even built
    Everything is sh1t
If I've missed any sh1t ness that should be on the list my sincere apologies to the negativity lovers.

Can we just not get 100% behind the board, 100% behind the manager and players, at least before a ball is kicked in the league campaign?

Clearly this is nonsense. Are you trying say folk like you are the target for this and it'll make you change your mind? Come on.

I don't think so, exactly what do you mean by this?

I watched the interview and I thought it was ok given that it was scripted PR.
Did anyone expect him to say "aye looks like we might have been wrong about the manager, we've agreed to give him x games before we punt him"?

I thought his comments about season tickets were interesting, I think the club are actually very disappointed that more havn't been sold. Again he's not going to say that. He did say thanks to the fans that have bought and he emphasised that the fans are the 12th man so can we maybe get right behind the team for the full 90 minutes?

When the previous chairman didn't communicate he rightly got criticism, now we have a chairman who's a good communicator he gets criticised for what he says. The negativity is just doing my head in.

There’s a time and a place for all this and it’s not the 3rd season in the championship. Anyone wanting to invest in the club should be firmly pointed in the direction of the football side of the business.
Dont you understand that anyone who has put their own hard earned will not have done it in the first place if there was never to be a chance of a return? Because of the previous regime, it looks like there was absolutely no more cash left to invest in anything. Now the new regime is in, they appear to be investing their own money into areas where they think they will see a long term return, which will also see future investment into the playing side.

Its the way clubs have to do things now as there is no Duncan Ferguson in the squad to rebuild the stadium! What is stopping you at least giving them a chance to see if they can make a fist of it?

I wanted the manager gone at the end of last season but I’m willing to give him a chance like the chairman is doing. Let’s see what happens in the next month or so before we start slating everyone and everything connected to the club we all love.

Off the field MM seems to be doing a good job. Tannadice facilities and atmosphere has been going downhill for years. If we don’t improve the stadium and experience then kids and supporters won’t come to support us.

Massively important to get the stadium right and make it better than it is at the moment coming to matchdays.

Look at what works and generates money at other clubs. Bring it into tannadice and bring stadium into 21st century and get more people coming in, coming back, supporting united for life.
