Anyone can beat anyone in this league, simple, look at Burton beating someone 3-0 away, yet when they played away at Leeds we destroyed them 5-0, stop looking at the small picture and look at the big picture, we are 6th in the league, it took the former premier league champions to knock us out of the league Cup, we are doing alright right now, I hate to think how negative folk would be if we were in a relegation battle!!!!
made me chuckle that did!
the boy brings it on himself though, have you seen his comments on the thread regarding the new lad?
19 yrs old, big central defensive unit, scandinavian, those of a positive persuassion might think we are looking at the next 10 years, a partnership to rival Woody/Ferdinand..... but this tool is slagging him off before hes kicked a ball.
"Next ten years"???????
Sure, he is 19, so young enough to develop, and tall, so has some physical presence, but ""we are looking at the next 10 years"????? Not me who is deluded pal. Unless we are competitive in the first team, NOW, then it doesn't matter how many punts Orta takes, we will stay in the Championship (or worse), and (not for the first time) those who show class and potential and who see Leeds going nowhere fast, will either seek to leave or will be cherry picked (and there are plenty of recent examples that show precisely that happening).
We DO NOT HAVE ten years to develop, and will only be able to protect ourselves from the predations of clubs in the PL if we are there too, and even then it will be a hard ask. IF Radrizzani and Orta genuinely believe in a development squad, and that Leonora really is a feeder club, the only way that strategy can be realised is if they invest in those players who will get us into the PL, something our new Scandinavian import isn't.
Do you watch LUFC at all? We are competitive NOW plenty of clean steets this season, even with your "dodgy keeper" so that makes the back 4 solid IMO, one for the future, and cover if needed. Cant see much change in the Jansson/Cooper partnership thats coming along nicely despite my reservations about Cooper.
Just dont understand what youre so effin uptight about this time?(other than the obvious, hes foreign, signed by a foreigner to play under a foreigner.)
Either at the ground, (home or away) or on the box, I suspect I see as much, if not more than you do, and we are NOT competitive. We have performed abysmally over that last fortnight and our wins were fortuitous, not the result of domination that the league position might suggest.
"The back four are solid"?? Delusional again, they are not solid, they are scared!
And why am I exercised about this signing? You're spot on, (about the "foreign" thing), but as usual wide of the mark. Its the paucity of ideas, the impecunity of the clubs funding, the myopia regarding where they look for new talent, and the repetition of failed initiatives that pi55es me off, none of which has anything to do with the nationality of the new player.
ive seen every game this season in one way or another, weve had plenty of clean sheets, our back 4 look better all the time and we ARE competitve because the ****in table tells you that we are!
your right, we have a cr@p keeper and play like a bottom 6 side, will finish bottom 6, and thats despite spending almost all season in the top 6, perfectly understand your logic and agree wholeheartedly. Team full of shighte foreigners, bring back Michael Brown and Barndoor Billy.
