it was i that brought up dropping Lasogga a few weeks ago, it just looks so obvious to me. The Hernandez/Saiz/Roofe/Alioski dynamic looks much better than the "Lasogga team". I know it can be seen as lightweight, but ffs, at least we worry the opposition when we have the ball, somewhat relieving the pressure on our back 4 which is usually relentless when playing the lone striker formation. For those slagging off Alioski, check which games weve won, and which weve lost, and look at the line-ups, when he plays, we generally win, personally i enjoy his unpredictability, makes a change from what weve been served up in the last 10 years.

Might be guilty about tongue in cheek comments about Alloiski, but he does need to stay on his feet and be a bit stronger.

From where I was sat i'd say Allioski was up for MOM!
People focus on his weakness under challenge - but he's scored a couple that have either won the game or put us back in with a chance - and his work rate is as good as anyone's in this squad - he will get better with experience in this league.
I thought Phillips and Viera where immense - against experienced opposition.

Apart from the dodgy liner [when did you ever see us given a penalty two minutes after the aledged incident FFS?] I thought we where the better team throughout - but confidence is fragile.
A draw against Wolves and a sneaky win at Barnsley and all's good with the world and our resident doom merchant will be away in Brazil or some such [Where is he today after a win???]
    Good result

Not arguing BB, just saying ;-) (obviously triallist cnuts don't argue with old timers). Anyhow, unless we go on a run like the beginning of the season it's all a bit academic, but the fact our downward slide almost coincided with him joining looks a bit more than just coincidence, for now anyway........

One post in the whole thread and you can't resist having a dig can you, 😪 even when it's the win that important.

Said often enough before that Alioski gets much more stick then he deserves, was a real credit today, and that Saiz is and has been immense, and that dropping Lassoga was the right thing to do.

One win doesn't get us out of the rut, and we need at least a win from one of the two games to get us steady. Even then, if Christiansen hasn't learned his lesson, and slips back to previous tactics, we will get found out again.
