    Espanyol Match Thread 2

If you are there Mich you may have to breath life into this thread yourself as I will be out and miss[but recording] the game this afternoon. It would be a shame to go without a match day thread for, I think, the first time.

Either way COMB, just get through it without any injuries to players, or fans!

Woodie, for what it's worth, mate, I shall try and make a comment or two, although it won't be as informative as your own worthy efforts each match day. I shall be able to watch the game here in Oz, but unfortunately my T.V. is in the other room which makes it difficult. We go to Spain with a very handsome lead, but I imagine Espanyol will try not to make it too easy for us. There have been occasions this season when we seem to take too long to settle into a game and our movement and passing, early on, can sometimes appear too casual. (IMO, the first 15 or so minutes of the Norwich game was a prime example of that). I just hope we don't do the same thing this evening.
While I think we will win comfortably, I'd rather we don't make any embarrassing errors along the way........GYMW !!!

9' and now Vinaigre has been accused of using an elbow, It's clear that the Spanish will fall over at any sign of contact.

Traore ties it up! An away goal pretty much seals it. Espanyol now have to score 6 to win, while allowing no more to Wolves.

HT. 1-1 Apart from scoring the all important goal, Traore has been lively, but has slipped over a couple of times, once when approaching the goal ready to have a pop. There has been one or two nasty tackles from the opposition, but the ref is well in control of it. As things stand I don't think Nuno will be in a hurry to make any changes, but expect to see Neto and/or Jimenez
if the Spaniards score any more goals.

57'....Kilman concedes a penalty (high boot) and Espanyol make it 2-1 (2-5).
