    Jordon Ibe

    Hi, Liverpool fan in peace.

Just a couple of questions about Jordon Ibe. I haven't been following his progression at you club this season, so could you possibly tell me your thoughts on him? How highly do you rate him and do you think he is good enough to one day make it as a top premiership player, from the time you've spent watching him play? Also in your opinion, do you think he is a better prospect than Andre Wisdom?

If we could have one of the two on a permanent basis I'd have Ibe, you can see he has a lot of skill but his brain isn't always fully engaged. Lacks that bit of thought process, saying that he's only a kid and needs a bit more coaching but has loads of potential.
He goes all out when he's got the ball but on many occasions fails to deliver that crucial pass.
By the time Steve Mac hands him back to you he shouldn't be far off the full package!

Agree with that, Ibe ahead of Wisdom. He sometimes seems unaware of what's around him. At times he puts his head down and tries to beat 10 men when a simple pass is a better option, recently I have wanted him to 'go for it' but he has laid a square ball instead when his was the better chance. Difficult to know if he will be a top premiership player, but he will definitely do well.

    Thanks for the reply Manofpride.

He was a bit like that at youth team level. But like you said he's only a kid and hopefully with time and experience his decision making will get a lot better. Glad to hear he's doing well and I'm happy he's at a club like Derby who try and pass the ball instead of just launching it. You did a good job with young Andre and it's sounds like your doing a good job with Jordon as well. Keep it up and good luck with the rest of your season. Hopefully you'll be in the same league as us this time next year.

Hopefully his decision making will get better with age. I have high hopes for Jordon. He's definitely got something about him.

He has the brain of a jacket potato.

Not good enough for us, never mind a mid-table Premier league club

Ibe can look unplayable, quick great feet, direct...but he's raw and he might not have the football brain to make best use of his attributes.

Andre Wisdom is a Premier League defender now, I'd have him all day long over Ibe.

    Prefer both.

Ibe over Wisdom? You're having a laugh! Wisdom all day long. He's consistent and does his job to a high level. Ibe is hit and miss, who knows if he'll find the consistency.

The people who say Ibe over Wisdom just see a few silky skills and get an instant hard on - they fail to see the bigger picture.

    re: Jordon Ibe

My assessment... blistering pace, strength, and direct. Time and again he has defenders on their heals, and drags defenders out of position to double up. Scored 3 goals so knows where the net is

As said, he has tendency to try to beat everyone himself, but seeing that decision making slowly improving. Will get better with good coaching and decent players around him. I am confident he will be a 1st team regular for you in coming seasons. He is like Sterling but stronger

Wisdom was great for us last season, all I would say tho is that Christie has come in this season and be strong defensively, nearly as good as Wisdom, but much much better offensively

so for me, Ibe offers us more

Wisdom one of the firsts on the team sheet, you can't say that about Ibe. Case closed.
