That adds another million to his value
Conor nets his first goal for the club. It was a typical Sammon goal after a bustling run into the box and a ricochet off the goalkeeper, a handball and a final tap in - but it's put Ipswich above us and hopefully will convince McCarthy to spend a few quid on him.

as in a million less we have to pay them to take him off our hands? ;-)Originally Posted by triz
One thing a certain Derby player should note is that although Sammon was knocked over pretty hard he didn't just lie there waving his hands in the air for a foul. He got up fast and went for the goal!

Has Best been any better?
how has mason been getting on?
Sammon is no Martin but does have some good attributes. I don't worry about Sammons goal tally, but how to improve Martins. He stays down when he doesn't have to and is regularly out of the game as a result. Twice against Cardiff he was waving around for a foul that he was never going to get, play went on and we were a man short in the box in promising situations.http://boards.footymad.net/images/smileys/irritated.gif
to be fair christiano Ronaldo does the same and I doubt real Madrid fans are too fussed. I take your point though, martin diving about a bit can be a little frustrating but he wins an awful lot of free kicks in promising positions. sometimes his theatrics in one instance can work for the next time, we've seen it time and time again.Originally Posted by FindernRam
that's martin's game so if he keeps banging in 25 goals a season along with countless superb link play (as for JR's opener last night) I'm not complaining.
as with the Charlton home game it took martin about 5 minutes to completely change the game.
