    Hearts - 24h on

What a week. In three matches Motherwell collected nine points, scored eight, conceded none and moved up to third place - External Link

Would have been even better if our perfectly good second goal had been given. How could the linesman not see the Hearts players?

I thought it was good when i watched it live.
From watching back the replay on YT what I see is a good goal - onside - but the linesman appears to do nothing until reacting to all the Hearts players raising their hands hoping to influence the officials well after the ball is in the net.

I guess it may as well be 1 million to 1 odds for a 4th win on the trot and a clean sheet next weekend.

I thought it was good on first viewing as well but the gap from attacker to the defenders opens really quickly when they're going in opposite directions. And I guess for the linesman there's a psychological thing about someone scoring in yards of space virtually on the goalline when all the opposition are yelling at you for offside...anyway, whatever the reason, it was an absolute shocker and we can simply be relieved it had no consequence.

    "1 million to 1 odds"

You'll no doubt be surprised that the bookies have us at around 6/1 to win on Sunday?

Bookies odds and probability are not the same thing...we're flying, they've just lost a cup final, have to pick themselves up for Thursday. we have a a perfect chance etc etc. We've said the same thing for about 20 years...I'd be thrilled with a point!

It's got 2-2 written all over it ... either that, or 0-5 !!
