    Steve Evans

Apparently we have received just over 70 applications and the club will now start to go through them to draw up a short list. The very popular Steve Evans seems to be amongst them - don't know much about him.

He's Scottish and had to give up playing at 24 due to injuries but managed Rotherham to 2 successive promotions in 2013 and 2014 has had a bit of a controversial career but could do worse I suppose

Now there's a manager with a track record!!!!

When I saw he'd been sacked by Rotherham, I did wonder if he'd be interested in coming to the well.

Somewhat of a divisive character (at least in the eyes of the media), he would definitely suffer no sh1te from any of our underachieving squad. He's achieved promotion at every club he's managed. I've watched his teams a couple of times over the years (Crawley and Rotherham) and on each occasion, against Exeter once and Gillingham twice (nether of whom are mugs at that level), outplayed them on each occasion.

Unfortunately, if given the choice, he'll go to United, but in my opinion, a realistic prospect with far more silverware than pretty much every other candidate.
