    Official EFL Championship stats:

    Nicked from S24

    Pass accuracy GW11 top teams

    1 Sheff Utd 85%
    2 Wolves 80%
    3 Hull, Sheff Wed 78%
5 Burton, Aston Villa, Reading 77%

It just shows how we’ve changed as a team, and unlike when Adkins and Cluff were here we actual pass it forward..

On the face of it seeing those figures looks really impressive and we've all witnessed CW's passing game

However, can they be deemed slightly misleading?

Surely the figure has to be linked to total average possession?

Blades 85% passing accuracy based on a total average of 40% possession, or Burton 77% passing accuracy based on a total average of 50% possession? Who actually has the best figure?

If a team is only in the game for ten minutes in every game this season, they can have a high passing accuracy percentage for that ten minutes but doesn't actually paint a true reflection

Is that a valid point or have I read thart wrong?

That’s a good point B58 although in most games we tend to dominate possession as well don’t we?

Like I said, possession can also be misleading as we had plenty with Clough and Adkins but did nothing with it, but desregarding Burton as an anomaly, it’s possibly a better yardstick for the top end teams.

    Damn lies and statistics!

Still the only true indicator of top teams are the points on the board lads.
