Not really that bothered that we've signed someone who used to play for Sevco, other than:

    a. Another English lower league signing.
    b. Sevco are p*sh.

Get Arnason fit enough to play FFS.

We're really scraping the barrel with this Ball chap, he must be a bit sh!t if he couldn't get a club until the last minute of the transfer window.

Doubt any U20's will get a look in now.

    Last weeks 6 outfield subs:
    Reynolds
    Arnason
    Maynard
    GMS
    Rooney
    Harvie

With Ball as well must be bit gutting for them.
I think Robertson was the last one,I have bored everyone to death with this but I think Harvie should get a chance at left back.He probably won't as long as Considine and McInnes are here though.

He played the full 90 minutes in today's 1-0 defeat to Finland

Oh well there you go he must be match fit if he is playing international football.

If he doesn't get a game for us in the next few games when our defence is conceding 3 goals against Partick then McInnes doesn't rate him.

I think aldo may have been right in saying Arnason and the board made the move, which is surprising considering McInnes and Milne supposedly have a good relationship.

I know thats what it may look like to us on the outside but I can't believe for a minute that McInnes would have allowed that to happen, there must be some other factors at play....perceived fitness, attitude in training or general, team set-up ?

I would have thought so too but it's a bit strange we have an international defender sitting on the bench when we are looking dodgy in defence and conceding goals.

He played last night so it can't be a fitness thing.

I've got a feeling it's tactical to do with the team set up...

Our best central defender this season has been O'Connor. O'Connor has no pace and neither does Arnason - to pair them up would be suicidal against pacey front men. So basically Reynolds needs to be there alongside either O'Connor or Arnason. Arguably O'Connor hasn't done anything dramatically wrong to merit being dropped, so he retains the starting jersey until such a time comes that Arnason can come in. Arnason will then have to merit keeping that place, because he was utterly stinking in the one opportunity he's had so far. Not sure where the new guy fits in - most likely the bench.
