I am the very definition of slacker.
At school, 7 O grades, A Maths, Arithmetic, Physics, B Engineering Science, Technical drawing, C English and something else (need to check) 2 Highers Bs in Maths and Physics, stayed on to 6th year and phoned it in.
Got made a prefect 5th and 6th year and had a dinner ticket scam going that made me a few bob.
In all honesty, I was a waster at school, hardly studied, hopelessly underachieved and never had any sort of life plan.
Got accepted to RGIT early in 6th year and never bothered my erse after that, then commenced a brief and spectacularly unsuccessful two term flirtation with further education.
Got huckled out of that, drifted around a few jobs, spent time on the dole, drifted into a civil service gig and am now, and have been for some time, at a local managerial level in a peripheral arm of government stuff.
Though I'm content enough with my lot in life currently, I desperately wish I'd found a focus at a young age and stuck in at it.
8 O levels, 2 highers, and f uck knows how many college certificates over the years.......only really started learning when I left home at 18 to look for work up here when the firm I worked with went tits up.
Stood us in good stead though and remained in gainfull employment before taking voluntary redundancy after 28 years with my 3rd company......chilling now helping out locally and glad to be away from ile.........have a plan and stick to it, hence the next trip to Spain will be split between golf course/tavernas and trying to coax a deal with a view to spending winters there.

I can really relate to this post. I never tried a leg, but did fine in exams. How you meant to study for O levels when it was the same time s the world snooker. 10am bbc 2 off we go with David Vine. Did an HNC through day release from the work. Got lucky but applied myself in every job I had. I believe you need a formal qualification these days.
I'm really enjoying reading these replies it's a bit more relaxed rather than posting political views.
We have certainly got a few bright lads on here .well done .
