His chipper wasn't the best like. That accolade falls to the bluebird on Urquhart Road. Owned by the legendary Richard a Thai bloke who is also an honorary Aberdonian.
He'll always be a weegie, just like Fergie. Best fish n chips is from a place in Islay where the boy is from Singapore.

I thought he was Chinese though.
He goes home to see his Ma in Hong Kong.

Also don’t forget Mr Mo of the Torry Chipper

He and Mrs Mo are good customers of mine, when I asked him once when Chinese New Year was going to start, he said “ how would I know, I moved to Aberdeen in 1968) *

    * I may have the actual year wrong
Would it be considered racialist to suggest they all look the same? Also could I dare ask the question about yellow women's genitalia?

I could add the Mikado on George Street to your list. Nothing spectacular and they are shut on Sundays but the owners are oriental. Either China or Hong Kong.

Of course he will. Don't tell him though. It'll break his heart.

I can assure you that they wouldn’t make a noise sliding down the bannister.

    A good meal
Here’s a review of one of the chip shops in Shetland:- “Frankie’s won an award recently - the best fish and chips shop in Britain. We went today for lunch. The meal was good but not excellent. I enjoyed fried haddock and chips. The fish was slightly over cooked. The chips whilst hot were excellent. My wife is allergic to seafood so had poached haddock with baked potato. That was pretty good too.
I was surprising to find that fish chips and seafood were all deep fried in the same oil. This is why I am surprised that they won an award. In this day and age not having separate deep-friers is not on.
They did, however take my wife seriously and ensured she had a safe meal.” This guy clearly dislikes his wife or doesn’t know that haddock comes from the sea. I think he meant to say that she’s allergic to shellfish!

The Bervie Chipper (nae chippie) was always regarded as the best chipper, but I did hear it’s nae as good as it used to be.

The Bervie Chipper never was any good, they just spent a hell of a lot of money on advertising.

The Newmachar Chipper used to be okay but it might have changed since I was last there in 1974

My only knowledge of Shetland chippers is that there was one called the “Appy Addock”

My information comes via a complete tw@t from Londonshire.
