Everyone was but our best manager ever had a weakness in multiple big finals, nothing really went for us that day, we were poor but the breaks went for them, the weather was crap, the venue was crap (much much prefer Hampden for a final, just had a proper feel, better atmosphere to it and great memories of sunny days in so finals and finals there) and just always had a gut feeling it was gonna be perths day

Thats all true Shedka. Do you think the trolleys have an open top bus around Dundee when we lose a final?

I think they got to a final once or twice - once i was only thinking of my team beating some team playing at a "neutral" home venue. The second was against their pimps. I still dont know the score (such is i dont care) but presume by the fact its no 6-5 they were unsuccessful. Silly wee team.

One Scottish Cup final in 50+ years for the silly wee team in which they didn't manage a shot on target and failed to sell thousands of tickets leaving large sections empty on TV... Odd as I'd always heard of a sleeping giant in the city.....

You are missing the point - surely they won the corner count??

I was never in the get rid of Jackie camp until news of his contract broke and to be fair that was Thompson's fault, you are 100% correct about the final and bad recruitment in that fateful summer.I remember saying that Donaldson,Durnan and the keeper's could get us relegated but you predicted a top 6 finish.
Do you not remember ootdoor the Funster posting that GUNBOAT seem's to be the only ain that smells danger but he is being hammered by his fellow Arabs?,now that is a FACT with a capital F.

We had a very average season in 12/13 and scraped top 6, I said a club like us could bedue a poor season as it happened to other clubs like ours and was very much against the sale of our players, predicting top 6 for us was still not beyond the realms as it was the norm for 8-9 years, but certainly I was not predicting or expecting us going for top 2-4 like the two seasons prior

I was not on about 12/13 mate i am referring to the summer when Jackie decided that 3 shyte goalies could fight for the number 1 shirt and we brought in Donaldson and Durnan, mind the Derby at Tannadice? ,cruising with 2 goals from Spittal then the keeper phucked up right at the end to gift them a draw, that was the beginning of the end for us.

I know you weren't, just referenced it, predicting top 6 for us was still a step down in expectation from the two seasons prior

As for that derby, no sorry, two people to blame, Dixon for not showing Stewart down the outside and letting him cut in on his left foot their first and Telfer for his weakness and poor control in midfield which allowed Harkins the shot for the second, gifted them a draw

We were doomed by appointing Mixu who played Szromnik (worst keeper in our history easily) over Zwick (shyt but not THAT shyt) who cost us pts game after game especially at Inverness and tynecastle in December

Well ok agree there - those were happy times.

So maybe i am a good example of a fan who does not have a clue
No you're not a fan that doesn't have a clue. Macnamara was riding on the crest of a wave for a while due to the unbelievable squad he had but when they started to disappear he did have a fkn clue what to do, just ask York fans how good he is?

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

    A fkn charlatan.

He built it, he done that, after doing it at thistle

The facts are above in my posts

Happy to debate this as don't like revisionism and nonsense, some of our fans just get a bit bitter about people, the same ones disgracefully turned on Houston too
