It's the "footballs better on the TV" generation.
I remember a fairly recent cup game at Ayr United, there are two blokes standing outside the bogs looking lost.
One says to the other " but where do we wash our hands"
Hope his Mummy didn't find out.
What if that challenge fails, which in all likelihood it will? How will that affect the happy mortgage payments, the playing squad etc?
We had players in our squad like Mike, Billio, Fabiano, McFarlane, Byrne etc because we were skint. Have you forgotten those years?
This novelty factor could well last one game. Maybe a month or two.
The sudden realisation of no transport when you want it from where you want it and no pubs or restaurants would quickly extinguish the novelty factor. I'm still disbelieving of how little the wider support going along with it has thought it through.
Do you think if we had the same transport and pub arrangements, i.e. none, at Pittodrie that we'd get the same attendance?
We'll just have to wait and see.
I'm very confident that humans can adapt and businesses will too.
There are options now and If / When a stadium goes ahead, I expect to see businessman create a supply where there is a demand.
Its a much better way of thinking than constantly being negative and naysaying
