Reports today that Queens are looking at Dale Hilson of Forfar.
Just like to wish all our new players the best of luck for the new season .
Remember and give the lads time to settle into a new club . Hate hearing or reading negative comments about players before they've even kicked a ball
This is the only way forward for Qos now. In that I mean bringing in young players with potential and endeavouring to develop them alongside experienced players - slightly on the slide- who have loads of match experience and knowledge to pass on. In this respect, messrs Lyle, Dowie and Higgins will do a fine job . I just wish we didn't get peanuts when we develop them and its time for them to move on.
A bl**dy disgrace is what it is. So little money filtering down will lead to the death of the small clubs and a dearth of developing players. Pure, unadulterated, blinkered greed on the part of the bigger clubs.Originally Posted by JRSLEFTPEG

The trickle down effect that once kept small clubs going has stopped and its the slightly bigger clubs than ourselves that are doing nothing to help the game as a whole. . The kind of chairmen that blame Scottish footballs problems elsewhere withoOriginally Posted by louisxiv

Sadly, that has already happened, - we play each other 4 times a season, with the clubs in Scotland playing a type of "round and round the merry go round," - with players switching clubs because they can't afford the inflated prices in England.
Although we do not think so at the moment, Queens are doing everything right and introducing an Academy is the way forward. If Queens can nurture the local talent and become the mother club, allowing players to remain with their chosen clubs until they feel the time is right to step up to the under 20's, then we will stay ahead of the competition.
Greed has killed the game in Scotland, and the only way forward is to nurture grass roots football through the schools and local teams.
Bosman and agents have spoiled it for us too with pre contracts and no transfer fees if out of contract.
Even if under contract you can throw the toys out the pram and basically tear the contract up.
