I was both saddened and shocked to see that Manchester City had not honoured Bernard Mendy's contract during the time in between him being charged on multiple counts of rape and his eventual acquittal of the alleged crimes. Because he was owed £11 million in wages and the cost of funding his defence HMRC applied to make him bankrupt. Lovely people aren't they at our HMRC?

Instead of making their players take the knee perhaps the Citizens could start eradicating racism in football by paying their black players for having consensual s-e-x-ual intercourse with white women?

Manchester United by all accounts simply put Greenwood on gardening leave but continued to pay their player's wages despite being charged with a whole host of s-e-x-ually motivated criminal offences.

Sinkov's description of "virtue signalling wokeism" and taking the knee seems entirely appropriate to me when we talk of a "moral code" in football.

Moral codes in football? Hard to spot them I agree Army but you can’t expect to get away with any dissent from the official line. The knee sends out a strong message about racism and discrimination so don’t boo the players when they take it; and, when they have returned to these shores after their sojourn in KSA, don’t even think of chanting “Saudi r*nt boys”.

There are laws against racism and discrimination in this country, and quite strict and draconian they are too, if racism and discrimination is indeed so rife in our game that players have to make a gesture against it before every game, the prosecutions must be piling up. But are they ?

More and more I self self policing on racism. Me and her indoors took the train on Sunday to Manchester, two young Asian girls were quietly chatting when two white t-e-e-nage eejits decided it would be OK to give them a bit of very nasty verbal disrespect.

My wife was nudging me in the ribs to say something when two mid-20's lads attired in United tops told them unless they wanted to depart the train early through a f*ucking carriage window they had better stop. The two eejits departed the train sheepishly and early (I guess) at Salford Central.

    No knee needed.

It's all gone quiet again, Ramsey was supposed to be done and dusted last Thursday, but seems to have gone to ground, maybe the Villa injury crisis has held the deal up, who knows, Lukebakio apparently prefers Flamenco and Bullfighting to Northern Soul and Whippet Racing, Lokonga has been on his way all summer and still hasn't arrived, I'm not sure this guy even exists, I reckon he's a figment of some football agent's imagination. Sky are now announcing the Ramsay deal again, but they were saying exactly the same thing five days ago, has anything really moved ?

Come on FFS, at this rate Terrier Taxis are going to be laying drivers off again.

I think that Ramsey is injured at the moment. I believe that he broke bones in his foot whilst playing for England in the recent Under 21 UEFA championship.
At the start fo July he was thought to be out of commission for at least 10 weeks, I have not seen anything else since then.

Exactly what they said last Thursday Chas, seems we're no further forward on this one then.

Lokonga was thinking £200k a week and private jets, Alan Pace arrived at Manchester Airport in the back of a Terrier Taxis minicab with a cheque for the lad's first weeks wages of £25k. Lokonga was back on the plane to Heathrow before Alan could say "Hello".
