Hi Alf, hope you are well and enjoying your yearly jaunt mate.

Not hiding, I just find the closed season a bit boring, especially with the seemingly (up to press) same old third rate antics from a pretend PL Club who still have no ambition with the way they shap and still expect us to swallow the bile they spout, so the message board is really a repeat of last season which is tedious to say the least.

I am still semi retired so I have been to Weeley 2 or 3 times in the last 6 weeks, also have to visit Burnley to do something for my late Mum, so I will probably get a Clarets game in and pick my picture up from BT in Bol ton.

So I am still here and reading if not writing Alf 😷

Spot on Alto, nothing much happens at Turf Moor in summer, Dyche runs such a tight ship that hardly any rumours get out either, it's boring and tedious, there's nowt to talk about so the board is filled with tedious political threads instead. I don't mind, I'll talk politics all day, but it's not everybody's cup of tea, and it's not really what this forum is for. It's one reason I like non league more than the PL nowadays, Clitheroe have a new manager, he's signed 8 new players so far with more to come, something of interest happening every other day, as a Burnley fan you might as well hibernate for the summer, you won't miss anything.

I like Photography Balan, I have a very good camera which I have not had out for a few years which takes excellent pictures, I often think I should get it out again, especially after viewing the one's you have taken and put on the forum, when I first moved down here in 1979 I took a photo of Big Ben with an ordinary camera, but it came out well, so well that everyone thought it was a post card.

Hopefully I will be getting in touch soon about a visit BT

Its good we have variety on here Sinkov, I like Politics and enjoy reading everyone's points, yes Clitheroe are busy

Yes, the close season is always grounhog day with little to discuss footy wise.

Then it gets frenetic in the week leading up to the transfer window closing.

Players and their agents are obviously unwilling to commit their futures at this stage unless they get an offer that is too good to refuse.

Luckily there is much to chat about regarding politics, travel, food etc to keep us interested.
