Just watched the first video and up to 2.20 i hadn't got the faintest idea what the heck he was talking about. The rest of the video went on about this entrepreneurial ecosystem and er....well. I hope he makes more sense talking about football.

I understood what he was explaining, things need to be properly joined up so that the whole area you’re operating within makes sense.
It’s no good having a data and analytics part to the football club if you then bring in a manager like Bruce and idiots like Garlick and Gourlay who sign the likes of an ageing Reach on £40k a year and a player like Hughill because he’s big and strong and you they know his dad……that’s me making the last bit up but I’m sure you get my drift!
The whole thing has to become joined up and this includes the coaching side as well, a plan for succession when the head coach moves on for example, candidates identified months in advance.
I think someone with Patel’s skill set is ideal to implement the sort of regime needed to “ape” what Brighton and Brentford have done.
One note of caution though, analytics and systems are all fine but they can come problematic when someone is so enthral to them that the nous and savvy that are sometimes very important get ignored or shouted down.
I like the fact that Patel speaks well, is comfortable in front of the camera and is clearly at ease in the public eye.
I think his ethnicity is also a big plus for us, especially given the demographic of our club and I hope it leads to us seeing many more Asian locals feeling like we are the club for them to follow.
