The worrying thing for me is we have paid a lot of money for a player that doesn't seem to have any football knowledge he tends to wander around aimlessly not knowing what positions to take up and only seems to react if the ball goes straight to him, although I do agree he couldn't have done any worse than Phillips on Saturday.

How can you say he has no football knowledge when he rarely gets the chance to show it. If he does wander about, it's because he is looking for the ball, unlike others in the team who seem to do all they can to avoid it.Originally Posted by saltnshake

Have you wandered why he gets no game time? As an attacking player you would of thought Pardew would be desperate to get him in the team, but he seems very reluctant to give him any time at all and when we have enough fit players he doesn't even get on the bench.
