seems quite a difficult start to the season. Need to be patient and try to get behind the team. difficult ask for McPake and Nicholl to get us off to winning start given that the team is still being assembled.

Unfortunately we have a bad track record when it comes getting off to a winning start at the beginning of each season.

Where are you getting that from Islay?

Won 10 drew 4 lost 5 since the turn of the century for opening league games.

Over 50% win rate less than 30% lose rate.

    False memory?

Obviously the other clubs including the doonsters have years of experience in this league which we don't have collectively but individually the players signed so far have more than enough. If they can hopefully gel in Spain and in the Betfred, then there's no reason to fear any other clubs who are also rebuilding. The 2nd best in that league last season are utter gash and would have lost the playoff final convincingly if the ref wasn't put in there to help them. Screw patience, basically.

Last season had a poor start to the league campaign whilst in the Deefiant season 2010-11 we did not exactly set the heather on fire at the start of the season culminating in losing at Cowdenbeath at the end of September 2010.

Hardly a bad track record but we have made a couple of poor starts but generally we start average or better.

We have a tricky start , 4 games all against teams that would expect not to be in relegation bother.

I'm with taintedice on this though, this is doable.

Of course it is doable as the alleged favourites have not been close to winning this league in 3 attempts.
Ross County won in a canter last year.Even with our rebuild we shud be expecting to challenge strongly.

The current squad as it stands will do very well to even reach the play offs.
I expect more signings especially given the freed up wage from KM leaving but we really really need a keeper.

If we sign another 4 of the same calibre plus a keeper then we could be on with a decent shout
