While it was an impressive showing from Queens fans, I didnt think there was that many. This is what they are saying though.

I was asked to guess at half time and I guessed 600.

May well be correct being the first league game of the season away and the first league encounter since the 63-4 season at Tannadice. The programme on Saturday usually states the away crowd, if that's where you are getting the figure from JRS?

I was at Tannadice and didn't think it looked anywhere near 599 but that's the figure they've given Queens . Only 263 made the midweek trip to Easter Road last Tuesday night and 257 Ayr United fans were at Palmerston on Saturday

Hi Cresswell. Firstly , I was there and it didn't look one short of 600. Secondly, a fair number of Queens fans moved away from the town seeking higher education, jobs etc and never came back here to live . Quite a lot of Queens fans live in the Central Belt now and away games are their ' home' games.
