I mean, why would a top flight manager committ to Leeds unless he was given certain assurances and at the minute I don't see many signs of much being delivered.
Why is anyone surprised by this thread. Won't be fu ck in long unless something substantial happens soon.

Do they not realise that approximately 4 quality additions will send the fans into hyper excitement. Bigger demand for tickets etc. Also a realistic chance of a promotion challenge and starting a snowball effect that Leeds fans would back better than any club !? All this messing about on the cheap is a proven disaster every year !!
Why not pay Hernandez inflated salary ? Theres no transfer fee. Thats how it is. Thats why we paid big wages for Lasogga. Quality comes at a cost. They must know this....??
Knowing, and willing, two different things.
The club have paid a premium for Bielsa and appear to be willing to gamble on him being able to get from the squad that remains that which Christainsen and Heckingbottom weren't, that is performance.
In fairness, many of those who remain performed well in the first two-three months of last season. Why things went sour, I doubt we will ever know. Whatever the reason, and I've said this about other players like Byram, Taylor etc, who had purple seasons then went "off", you don't "get bad" for no reason. If thats the case with the squad "as is", then with the judicious application of young but capable players from the U23s (after all the only signing (loan or otherwise), is a 23yr old), who knows what kind of performances we might see.
The only real gaps are a suitable target man (If we play with a singleton up front, which isn't Bielsas habit), and a GK (less debatable, as BPF should have someone keeping him honest as 1st team GK).
"Lean and mean", or perhaps more realistically, a squad that faces adversity together, small enough to be managed and have real team spirit, big enough (just) to endure the rigours of a Championship season (and a winning run in the FA Cup, remember my long-range prediction!)
WTF
A well written post and spot on. Not sure I'd ever heard you say we were very good the first 3 months.
3 weeks of this transfer window to go..let that sink in..3 feckin weeks!
We need to hurry the feck up!
MOT
Thanks, appreciated. As for the "very good" comment, perhaps not in so many words, but have been consistently positive about Hernandez, Saiz and Alioski (played as a partnership, not singly), Ayling, Jansson (even with his dip in form, he has his moments!) etc and was over the moon at Lassoggas early form, especially as he stuck around at the time of his babys birth rather than going off on "paternity leave".
No matter tbh, we have good players, they need good coaching, and they need support from all the club assets, including the ability to "dip in" to the U23s, even if they are used almost like impact subs from time to time.
Haven't really expected much from the transfer window, my sentiments about what we should be doing have been out there for a while, and don't depend on incomings, more on outgoings. That would allow focus to be rightly applied to the group of players who we expect (stress on that word) to deliver. The loan outgoings are welcome, would prefer those not attracting interest of any sort to be paid off so that focus can be achieved.
We'll see what we see,
