Many people would've predicted a loss against inform Ipswich but a share of the spoils is more than welcome at this stage of the campaign. This means Charlton have taken something from all four games over the Christmas period just as Chris Powell wanted.

Ipswich scored in the first half from a Richard Wood own goal after a Daryl Murphy cross and after dominating much of the possession.

However Charlton got better in the 2nd half and Captain Johnnie Jackson equalised for the Addicks in the 90th minute after coming off the bench.

Also plaudits must go to Ben Alnwick who saved a penalty taken by Ipswich's David McGoldrick pushing his shot on to the post. He seems to be doing rather well deputising for Ben not that many others seem to recognise this. - view external link
