Poll: are we slowly getting our club back?

After hearing the Cairney interview and reading how the club have responded to the Campell arrest, I'm starting to see a corner being turned.

Since the summer there's been no madness. No Shabby v Shaw b0llocks, (in fact no Shabby ). Bowyer never put under pressure in public regardless of results and publically backed by Shaw today. Agnew shown the door. Owners good as their word regarding Rhodes so far and signing two players Bowyer wanted today, despite a crippling wage bill left from a recent legacy of lunacy and incompetence. There’s many on this site that would Campell hung from the nearest and highest yard arm for being arrested on suspicion of getting cards deliberately, (it wasn’t match fixing in his case); but the club have stuck by him and will wait for the investigation and any charges before treating him differently. All these are very positive signs IMHO.

Anyone else think a corner's being turned and it looks more like trying to restore the old Rovers rather than cre

Things are more positive for sure . But restoring us to the "Rovers of old" will never happen , well not while Venkys own us anyway !

Difficult to say to be honest. The atmosphere around the club is as you say very positive, looking very much like a "Proper club" again. The fans always seem much more upbeat and passionate than they have been for a long time and for the most part Ewood is a positive place on match days once more

Does that mean we "Have our club back?" I don't know. As Needle points out though things are much better it's still a way away from the "Rovers of old". But maybe it doesn't necessarily have to be exactly like the Rovers of old for us to have our club back? Maybe this whole fiasco has brought the fans closer and more united behind the team than they had been for years before the Venkys apocalypse? Just playing devils advocate, like.

The longest journeys begin with the shortest steps

At least the direction is right but still miles to go unfortunately. Can't ignore the owners backing the manager in this either despite the chronic finances.

The appointment of Bowyer of a permanent basis was the beginning of the corner turning and he is now creating an atmosphere that others want to be part of.

If this question is just based on Venkys and their idiot advisers active involvement then it would appear so.

However to me this could represent one of two things:

    1. They've learnt from past mistakes and are finally becoming half-decent owners, who will service our debt and help nudge the club forward.

    2. They've broken their toy and no longer give a damn, neither do their advisers cause there's no money left to be scammed from the club. Our debt will build to an appalling level and then Venkys will wash their hands of us and let the club fall into administration.

We are missing bullcr@p from the manager and embarrassment from the owners.

Bowyer is a level headed personable guy, and I haven't cringed at something club related for a while.

You never know, especially with the venky boys in charge, but I think they know they have phooked up massively and are preying the players and the new popular manager can tell them what they need to know.

    Too fecking true!
All the relatively new fans on here really piss me off. They know feck all about the club, it's roots and it's history.

Venky's have had to learn the hard way. They bought a Prem club with all the riches that come from the top table. They weren't football people, and where very badly advised, some was bad luck, some nieve, some awful choices where made. They have hired and fired managers which has cost them a fortune, suffered relegation, but have kept investing money. The annoying bit for us fans, is that we can see it's gone in all the wrong places mainly, but they have spent money. They spent £7.5 on Rhodes in Aug 12. He has an unbelievably good goal scoring record in games ratio. He may well be sold, and if we get all our money back, and most of that is re-invested in the squad, we may even push on? Who knows. The signing of Rhodes represents the good side of the owners. The Portugese mob, Murphy, Ethuhu, Kean, Berg, Appleton...Shebby and pals... being the very worst!
The best thing they appear to be doing, finally, is to take a step back, and entrust the running of a football club, to football pe
