    Interesting stat regarding managers...

We all knew that Martinez was going to be a hard act to follow. But it would seem that long lasting managers are notoriously hard to follow at Wigan.

Our last four long serving managers (of 3 or more years); Bryan Hamilton (89-93), John Deehan (95-98), Paul Jewell (01-07) and Martinez (09-13) have all been followed by short lived appointments.

They were followed by Dave Philpotts (~150 days), Ray Mathais (290 days), Chris Hutchings (175 days) and our mate Coyle (201 days). Funny how things work out, but it seems that after we've got set in our ways we sure as hell don't like someone coming in and mucking it up! EDIT - although I will admit, Mathias didn't do too bad a job.

I know it's early days but i can't recall a manager who has spoken as much sense as Uwe in his first few weeks. And I can't recall one who spoke as much drivel as OC.
