Will We Be Able To Sign Players In This Window?

I'm actually an optimistic person, despite this and the previous thread suggesting otherwise.

But we like many Championship clubs are handicapped by circumstances beyond our control in transfer windows.

Most of the time, we have to wait for Prem clubs to decide whom they want to release, sell or buy, especially if they are looking at a lower league player.

Eg: If a Prem club expresses interest in Lansbury and makes an offer, what can we do? Most players would prefer to play at the top level and also get the higher salary on offer, so it's hard for us to hang on to a player when a Prem club comes sniffing.

So if Lansbury is on Prem's club radar, we've gotta wait until the deal is done or fails, and that could force up to wait right up to Jan 31st. By that time, there might not a suitable replacement and we have to dip into the loan market instead.

Or if we want say Dorrans, we gotta wait until WBA get a replacement. Or in Hull's case with Hobbs, now that Wigan might be prepared

Not sure the baggies are looking to replace Dorrans, as much as he just isn't in their first team plans.

Nicky Maynard is available on loan, not saying we'll get him but some clubs have started to make availabity known, for the opposite reason to the one you state.

Some clubs are on a tight budget, so they have to know what fees/ wages they have available before they can bring players in (e.g. if Tan is your owner and you are already over budget )

Well you've done a great bit of business already signing Andy Reid on a new 2.5 year contract.
