what would be your specialist subject ?

would you be confident aboot sitting in that chair and having the answers ?

reckon tunds would be ok with chess as a specialist subject
knowlsey with Pink Floyd and greystone
answering questions on Wolves fc 1950 to present day.

have you a special interest or a load of knowledge on any subject.
    or
on a funnier note, what subject would you propose for a fellow wolves-madder

You get dafter you old prat!!!

Actually, "The Beatles" WAS recently a specialist subject on Mastermind and the contestant got 11 of the 13 questions right with no passes... obviously I sat the test at the same time and I did honestly get all 13 correct - but a lot easier sat in your own armchair at home than under the spotlight in the famous black seat of course!

If you get through the first heat of Mastermind you compete in the finals but you have to choose a different "specialist subject". I'd go for The Beatles as my first choice but if I managed to get through to the next round I'm not sure what I'd plump for. Most likely something like British birds or 1970s sitcoms.

What about the rest of you?

I'm surprised that you wouldn't go for Wolves, Tony!? I would go with the National Hockey League's most successful team of all time with 24 Stanley Cups, my Montreal Canadiens...or chess.

I think my main subject would be -

    Great French Military Victories 1330-2000

with my second subject being either -

The History of Bagpipe Nadgering in Southern Transvaal

    or

    Meteorology

Being the "anorak" that I am my subject would be railway history in one form or another. Many years ago there was a guy on mastermind that chose Pre-grouping railway history as his speciality, he did lousy I got them all correct. Bloody sad innit!

Second subject would be something equally dorky, like The History of the British Isles or sumsuch.

The only subject I could claim any real expertise in would be African history, but nobody apart from the Africans cares much about it. So I'm happy to yammer away about motorcycles and whatnot.

I have quite a bit of interest in African history mate, mainly post colonial. I have worked for long periods in both Zaire [as was] and Zambia, also been to, short term, Namibia, South Africa, Kenya and Mali. 60's Africa interests me because of all the political changes that took place. Fascinating period.
